i think it is that he saw his best friend drown and he could not help and saw a guy that could have helped his friend but didnt and phil gave that bystander frontrow tickets to the premiere of this song and shone the light upon him as he sang it

i heard that this video was about him swimming and a riptide pulled him and his friend in and a undercurrent pulled them out and a lifeguard watched phil's friend drown and then at a concert phil gave the lifeguard tickets to go and he called up that seat to up on stage and then phil said something like ... "this song is for you watching my friend drown" and that night the lifeguard went home and hung himself

heres wat really happened.....well one say a little boy was playing xbox and phil saw him and got jealous so he shot him wiht a michine gun and well that boy is dead now and so because of phils hatred of himself he now thinks of sucicide which is not good at all and thats wat this song is about in real life phil is very werid and like to hurt little kids which is ver y bad and should be taken acounted for in his wriuting career
